GHOST VISION

“lovingly crafted sonic JOURNEYS of psychedelic magnitude.”

Ghost Vision is Thomas Gandey and Daniel McLewin (Psychemagik)

Those blissful moments where it's just a jam with no preconceptions, in front of the machines, a beat on the 808 synched to a Linn Drum, a Moog for the bassline. An Array of rare 70's String machines sent through a phaser. An Oberheim OB8 cuts silky pads. Everything patched through ancient guitar pedals, Space Echoes and Spring Reverbs. Magic is created and it sounds like Ghost Vision. Live arrangements come naturally, even 80s midi technology seems too modern for this band. Other sessions begin after a snippet of a private press inspires the mood, subtle recreation of an atmosphere is the order of the evening session. It's a natural process, nothing is forced, the result is a lovingly crafted piece of emotive and psychedelic magnitude.

Two kaftan wearing hearts met in a serendipitous moment in Miami WMC and Ghost Vision was born. Two mutual minds with a vast musical knowledge.

A session booked at the studio, a lifetimes collection of obscure and rare music absorbed, and the creative process began.

Ghost Vision are two bearded cosmic paradise seekers; well documented children of psychedelia, occupying a space crafted by the likes of Vangelis, Ryuichi Sakamoto and David Axelrod before them.

One; a classically trained musician turned purveyor & programmer of club music, the other; a global crate digger and producer in search of other-worldly texture.

With a lifetime of rare and obscure music at their disposal the duo hid away into the studio in the South of France, on a vineyard with zero distractions and a bon vivant approach.

Ghost Vision appears on Kompakt Records, Love on the Rocks, Pinchy & Friends with Remixes on Sony Records.
